Overview

We are seeking a Robotic Engineer with the technical leadership expertise to optimize the expansion of our paint robot program. It goes without saying that efficiency, productivity and quality are the cornerstones to our program. You will be responsible program operation, fault recovery procedures, troubleshooting and all around leadership of a program that will now paint 3X the volume we have painted in the past. Our expansion is state-of-the-art and includes Fanuc robots with advanced Durr applicators. Robot Safety will be a paramount issue, along with graphic user interface updates, electrostatic paint application, robot pathing and robotic fluid delivery systems. Finally, we need a “teacher” to help grow the next generation of program operators.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Robot Programming, paint application and trouble shooting
  • Comply with all safety regulations
  • Continuously and incrementally improve all Robotic Processes and document as standardized work
  • Minimize downtime by systematically and proactively monitoring part performance and maintaining a spare part status program
  • Foster Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing principles (Kaizen, 5S and Root-Cause Investigation experience) while effectively training other Team Members
  • Prioritize work/improvement schedule to support annual shutdowns and equipment updates
